Do (Persian) Cats shed hair/fur?

Someone gave up a female persian cat 2-3 weeks ago and as per the previous owner, I gave this little cutie all she needs.

I'm leave the house by 7AM, gone all day at work and comes home around 7PM. I cater to her needs(clean her litter box, give her fredh water and her meal) as soon as I arrive.I even brush her hair in the morning and evening and she seemed to like it very much

Its just that I noticed that she's shedding more hair lately and her brown cushion bed/pillow is turning white with cat hairs even if I just vacuumed it the night before.

Is my cat depressed or is she sick or what?

Also, is it necessary to bathe a cat once a week? Previous owner said yes...but I'm not sure (never gave any cat a bath before).

Any cat owner/lover who could give me advise?

Thanks in advance.

Hi guys! I need your help. Is anyone have tried giving Marijuana to their pets for Medical purposes? I have read many articles about medical marijuana and how it can help them in terms of chronic pain, bone injuries, eating disorder, inflammation, and a lot more. Like this article about a marijuana strain from http://www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/bluniverse/. Alternatively, they've also found new ways to infuse cannabis on food and beverages. If this is true I can't find any solid conclusive evidence that speaks to its efficacy. Any personal experience or testimonial would be highly appreciated. Thanks

No matter what you do, or try to do, persian cats will always shed. Especially now in the heat. This is their nature and you cannot change it. I myself had 3 persian cats since 4 years and always had this problem. The only solution is to cut off their fur, go to a clinic for pets, and they will do it for you. But you should notice that your cat will no longer look nice as it was with its full fur. However, it shed will reduce by 80%.Good luck
