Hi guys, I was planning to go back to my country and get some training in SAP... its quite expensive... so.. I was wondering if its the right thing to do.. is it worth it??
you can have the best software governing a company where 60 % of the employees are clowns and you can have an excel spreadsheet running a successful business.
It is what you make of it and who is using it. SAP is great but it would an overhead in a place like this. It will cost you more than what it will bring you simply because no one cares.....
The most, expensive, useless, labour intensive piece of junk ever written.
No one uses it as they should because it would take an army of technicians, engineers and accountants to fill every field and every step. So it gets used only in part.

The key is getting your first job. Best thing to do is talk to Wipro or TCS and see if they can guarantee you a job after certification.
Good Luck!
i know people in Qatar who are unable to get jobs, or even an interview call, and they are certified, with years of implementation experience.
If you show patience and wait in India for at least sometime you could gain some experience and then come here.

That's because the demand is high and the supply is quite marginal.
Finance, the maket gets swamped with finance people and the salary plummits to the bottom of the list.

Even am planning to go back to Bangalore sap Siemens institute for SAP HR certification...There are quiet good opportunities for SAP persons in Qatar.
Any help please call me.
You must decide which "module" or area of SAP you want to go into.
The most important here are SAP-OIL and Supply Chain.
You will NOT get a job without certification and at least one/two SAP implementations under your belt. Having said that, It is worth doing..
