chances 4 aviation enginer in qatar
By dohahelp233 •
i am an indian graduate majored in aeronautical engineering and have been looking out for an opening quite some time.i could not even get a interview call till now.i have applied online in two major companies.but have not heard yet.
is there any companies where i can apply despite qa and gulf helicopters??
i hope i will get valuable suggestions
thank u all for answers
you can try in planning dept, maintenance control or engineering dept, but they will still look at your experience in this field. same goes with being a mechanic/technician
can i apply as aircraft technician??
sir in technical services
@dohahelp, i know a lot of engineers who applied there "without wasta"
@flyingace, i'm talking about certifying staff for the indian airlines 737-800 and not for the whole fleet. his experience is limited to that type only, so how can you expect the technical department be interested in him? if he has at least another type rating on the fleet that they operate then he has chances. but with only the type mentioned above the chances are almost nil.
then why dont they call for inteview atleast??
hawker, if you say QA has all the man power required in Engineering, you must be joking...
There are a shortage of Aircraft Engineers, in Line, Hanger, Technical Services....
They are not getting Engineers, with the pay they are offering, thus they are forced to take single type raiting holder in QA...
thank u suggestion..
since i m from aeronautical engineering background are there any chances for me in engineering support div ions?
as flying ace suggested without vaastha is it not possible to approach them
no verbal fight here dohahelp233, its a healthy discussion between Qlers. and what i and flyingace stated are facts.
yes they do the ground handling of indian airlines 737-800 but thats it.
if the two parties did not renew their contract, there's no need for those engineers who certify's them. i suggest you get enough experience there in your homeland with the types of aircraft that they have here. your line is in the fixed-wing, so gulf helicopters is out already. your choices now here are either Qatar Airways, Rizon Jet Qatar (they are applying now for a Part 145 approval) or the Qatar Aeronautical College. or try also in Saudi, i know they are operating that type of aircraft back there.
i dont want a verbal fight b/w any.....
i just mean to tell ma stage
@FlyingAce, yes i know there are a couple of engineers who certify indian airlines 737-800s. but do you think QTR will still be interested in him? they have the manpower already for this. do you think they'll be interested in hiring one? i don't think so.
plus the 737-800 they had was sold already last year. what they need are certifying staffs for the current aircraft types that they already have.
i.e.
Airbus A300-600 (PW 4000)
Airbus A310 (GE CF6)
Airbus A319/A320/A321 (IAE V2500)
Airbus A330 (GE CF6)
Airbus A340 (CFM56)
Airbus A340 (RR RB 211 Trent 500)
Boeing B777-200/300 (GE90)
Bombardier BD-100-1A10 (Honeywell AS907)
Bombardier BD-700 Series (RRD BR710)
Bombardier CL-600-2B16 (variant 604) (GE CF34)
wat i hav with me s qualification willing to learn and work
i dont hav any one for high level vaastha..a normal midle clss indian
Wasta, needed inside to get a Interview Arranged...
Hawker, QA does certify 3rd party Aircrafts, and i can surely tell QA Engineers certify 737-800s, now only difference is that 3rd party dept used to be separate, but now it has been merged with Line Maintenance......
oh .........so i hav no chances in getting a job in qatar
they don't have that type of aircraft here. that's why they don't call you.
it was B 737-800.well dont they employ in engineering planning and support division
thanks i ll try in other 2 also
on what type of aircraft/engine?
btw you can also apply to Qatar Aeronautical College and Rizon Jet Qatar
i hav only a exp of one year
as what you've stated you are a graduate with major in aeronautical engineering. but do you have experience? if you do not have the necessary experience specifically to the type of aircrafts/engines that they operate here, then forget it.
i hav applied in specific post in qa tht too for diplomo holders
still no reply
Maybe you've not heard anything because they have no vacancies.
Did you apply for a specific job, or just a speculative application.
Seriously, how many CVs do you think QA get every day!?!?!?
