I'm sorry for the diction, I should mean technically that which I want to learn how to code or develop. Since defect prevention, Capability maturity modules, Software workproduct audit, etc. are of no issue already since these are of capability standards where they are also applicable to other applications

Could you pls let me know what is the minimum educational qualification or background required to undergo this training? Also what is the total tenor of this program.

There is already a company called MESAP who run the SAP Training centre in Doha and Dubai. They provide all training courses both classroom based and customer specific training in the ME.

There were a number of press releases that went out from SAP earlier in January about this. They are according to the press releases the only Authorised SAP Curriculum training company in the ME.

Don't expect a plum job as a consultant when you finish this course. My suggestion is to take it if you are aiming to 1. Improve your current SAP knowledge which means you are already using it or 2. Expanding your knowledge and hoping to make a move as an end user to an organization that's already using SAP.

Also stick to what you know. If you are working in the finance dept. stick to FI aspect of SAP and so on. Otherwise you'll be making live difficult for yourself later on when I interview you and ask you why I should Hire you as SAP FI when you seem to have more HR experience.

Unless people are willing to BS their way into jobs, most companies require the SAP training to be SAP certified.

If this is so, then , by all means go ahead. If not, then you may be just wasting your time..

Thanks for your responses .Just to give a brief idea of SAP, SAP stands for Sytems Applications and Products in data processing.Its a ERP(Entreprise Resource Planning)sofware package.Most of the fortune 500 companies Business runs on SAP .In Doha , most of the Q Companies runs SAP and other companies like Nestle and Banks runs on SAP . SAP Consultant are the most sought professionals in the world and are one among the highly paid proffesionals in the world . SAP software consist of many core modules like HR(Human resource),FICO(Finance and Controlling), MM ( Material Management),SD (Sales & Distribution) PP( Production Planing)etc .To learn a particular module , the person is expected to have some industrial (Functional ) knowledge / experience in their respective field . For example a person who is interested in doing SAP HR module is expected to have some working experience/ knowledge about HR .
