Qatar is set to host a vibrant line of multicultural events this September, featuring art exhibitions, musical performances, and sports tournaments. This Qatar Calender, a comprehensive guide available online and via a mobile app, helps residents and visitors navigate these exciting events.
Sheikha Noor Abdulla al-Thani, head of Tourism Events and Festivals Organising Section at Qatar Tourism, noted: “Through successful collaborations with our stakeholders, Qatar Calendar provides a diverse range of events that cater to all tastes, ages, and budgets.”
Highlights for September include :
- Honour The Past, To Celebrate the Future: Qatar’s Educational Vision Exhibition at Liwan Design Studios, showcasing the history of female education in Qatar from 1938-2006.
- Mohamed Melehi: A Giant of Postcolonial Art in Morocco Exhibition at Mathaf ; Arab Museum of Modern Art.
- In the Footsteps of Ara Güler: Exploring the Photographer’s Legacy will be held at the Museum of Islamic Art, celebrating the renowned photographer's legacy.
- Space Art Exhibition: Cosmic Canvas is currently held at Al Thurayya Planetarium, Katara, until September 20.
- S’hail – Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition will be from September 10-14 at Katara.
- Geekend will be held at Lusail Boulevard from September 12-14, featuring science-fiction shows, board games and e-Sports.
- ConteQ Expo 2024 to be held at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from September 16-18.
- Doha International Coffee Exhibition 2024 will be at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) from September 26-28.
- 'The Sky Above Gaza... Imagine' art exhibition will be displayed at the Fire Station from September 17 - November 07, supporting Palestinian people in Gaza.
- '70 Years of Theatre Gala – The Doha Players’ is set to take place at Radisson Blu on September 19 and September 20.
- 'Hamra Street' musical will be at U Venue from September 26-28.
- 'Land of Sindh’, will be running from September 26-28 at the Drama Theater at Katara.
- ‘Philharmonic At The Library Arabic Nights from North Africa’ will be taking place at Qatar National Library on September 12.
- ‘Family Day: Geometrical Shapes’ workshop will be held on September 14 at the MIA Atrium.
- ‘Diwani Intermediate Workshop’ will be led by Hussan Ahmed at MIA from September 7-28.
- The Sealine Challenge 2024 is set to take place on September 28 at Sealine Beach.
- QTerminals Qatar Classic will be hosted from September 28-October 5 at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex and The 3rd Qatar Asian Junior Tournament for 14 years and under will be held from September 30 till October 5, at the same venue.
- Concerts include the Berlioz’ Symphonie Fantastique by Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and 'Russian Greats: Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky' at various venues.
