
Sealine Challenge Race draws over 400 participants amidst Qatar's Sand Dunes

The golden sands of Sealine witnessed a new edition of the Sealine Challenge race yesterday afternoon. The event was organized and sponsored by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in collaboration with Trails Sports Events. This race is part of the Qatar Desert Trails Series, which includes five races held throughout the year: Al Zubarah Challenge, Fuwairit Challenge, Sealine Challenge, Al Wakrah Challenge, and Al Khor Challenge.
A Unique Experience
The race, which started at 4:00 PM, saw wide participation from different categories, including children, youth, and seniors. It followed a single track with varying distances for each participant, offering a unique experience amidst nature and sand dunes. The race distances ranged from 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km, with a special 800-meter race for children aged 3 to 6 years. More than 400 participants took part, spread across different race distances.
3 km Race
In the 3 km race for men, the outstanding competitor Youssef Swailah dominated the open category, securing first place. Meanwhile, Jarallah Al-Nabti won the Masters category.
For women, Maryam Al-Khaja won first place in the open category, while Nadine Elinir led the Masters category.
5 km Race
In the 5 km women's competition, Anja Griri won first place, while Widad Messaoui topped the Masters category.
Among men, Mkwaya Abdul secured first place in the open category, while Yassine Mhadhbi finished first in the Masters category.
10 km Challenge
The 10 km race saw Relampagos Risabel claim first place in the women’s open category, while Siodmark Agnieszka topped the Masters category.
In the men’s 10 km race, Mostafa Bennaim secured first place in the open category, while Saad Ali Al-Qahtani led the Masters category. The second place in the Masters category went to Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoudi.
Children's Race
The 800-meter race for children concluded with Addison securing first place among the girls, followed by Maya Elias in second and Sheikha Al-Abdullah in third.
In the boys' race, Hamad Al-Nabti won first place, followed by Siyar Al-Tamimi in second, and Mishal Al-Emadi in third.
Honoring the Winners
After the competitions, Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, along with Abdulaziz Al-Abdullah, Director of "Trails," honored the top three winners in each category with prizes and medals.
Al-Dosari expressed his happiness with the success and the fantastic atmosphere of this edition of the Sealine Challenge, highlighting the strong participation across all categories—men, women, and children.
He also extended his gratitude to all competitors and organizers for their efforts in delivering such an outstanding event.
