Workers caught for changing expiry dates of meat products
Municipal inspectors have caught a group of workers for tampering with expiry dates of large quantities of meat products which were meant to be supplied to grocery stores in the Industrial Area for retail.
Some 250kg of Australian meat products, including 205kg of expired products, were seized from their possession.
The Peninsula reported that inspectors from the health monitoring unit of Doha Municipality conducted raids on two separate places where the suspects were found mixing fresh meat products with those whose validity had expired.
The products were being prepared to be supplied to grocery shops for sale throughout the Industrial Area after repackaging and changing the expiry dates. The inspectors reached the sites, tracing the meat transport vehicles.
The ministry tweeted about it in its official twitter account as follows-

kick them out of the country.......
Kudos to the food inspectors. Hope they make examples out of these culprits to deter others from doing the same.
Good Job, #Municipality Inspectors for saving many innocent people who could have suffered as a result of eating expired meat....
I hope that the culprits are heavily punished
