Woqod responds to recent attack on service employee
Qatar Fuel (Woqod) announced on its Facebook page that it has contacted the police about a recent assault on an employee in one of its branches in Qatar after a video of the assault went viral on social media.
The video showed a man in a white thope hitting the service staff. The reason for his actions is still not clear, but Woqod's legal team is following up the case with Qatar authorities.
This video has been going viral. Some say it happened in a Woqod service station. Can anyone confirm?

On Qatar Fuel's Facebook page it said, "WOQOD is committed to the safety of its employees and strongly condemns this unfortunate incident. WOQOD took immediate action through the involvement of the police in Doha."
"The person who punched the WOQOD employee has been interviewed by the police and action appropriate to the incident is being taken and is being persuaded by WOQOD's legal team."
"This has always been WOQOD's position for all such incidents and has led to successful prosecutions. Such behaviour to WOQOD employees will simply not be tolerated."
A video of the incident was shared on Qatar Living last week and on Facebook, where a lot of users sympathized with the employee while condemning the actions of the Land Cruiser owner.
The nationality of the attacker was also widely discussed, as it was not clear from the video if he was Qatari or an expat.
@qatarliving @SamerF89 yeah a lot of non Qataris wear thobes especially without ghutra. Non Qataris drive land cruisers too

It is not yet clear in which branch the incident occurred, but that's irrelevant, right? Do you think the video being shared on social media resulted in Woqod's swift response?
Good job
I have experienced that, some one took my flash memory 16 GB during car wash. I have realized after washed only.
Anjum they probably had to ask him who his father is, who is brother is, who his cousin is, before they can decide whether to proceed with further investigations. Some people are untouchable.
That's right, because they have a right ear and a left ear.
Anjum: In any investigation , the police must hear both sides of the story.
I dont understand one thing that Why they took interview of the person who has punched to poor labour? What they wanted to ask him how he has punched him? In how many punches you brought him down? or Are you ready to join our boxing team etc etc etc.. He should be rather questioned or interrogated for his doing that also behind the bar. Nobody is bigger than the law of the country. Please do some justice with the helpless expatriate who's away from him beloved one\s to serve you in this country.
Everything is not yet clear if he is a Qatari or not and the reasons for such action even after he has been interviewed? That sounds baseless and unproductive. Am afraid, the poor guy might be the one to be prosecuted after the whole stories of NOT YET CLEAR. If nothing is clear after the interview, then when would things get cleared?
If th't guy went police station, may be they call that hitter,bt after they met,he is neibour or relatives.so they hug&kiss, after that poor guy will be in jail..that will happend,am sure..
'interviewed by the police'? sounds like nothing will come of it then other than maybe some compensation to the staff....the law expressly makes physical assault a serious crime and the driver should have been 'arrested and thrown in a cell by police' first with the questions coming later...but yes at least woqod reacted...
perdian: The proof of the pudding will be if the culprit is apprehended and brought to justice.
Good Job for a swift action on Woqod Company. I hope more companies with your KIND of ATTITUDE will follow by example.
Good news. Well done Woqood. Perhaps someone can keep us updated on the case if possible
