Thousands gather at MoI's Eid Events

The Eid celebrations organized by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) have turned out to be a success.

More than 32,000 families and bachelors from the Indian, Sri Lankan, Pakistani, Nepalese and Bangladeshi communities took part in it. The events also welcomed residents of Al-Khor, Ras Laffen and other different areas of the country.

The MoI had organized 6 events during the 3 days of Eid for the workers and families in Doha, Al-Wakrah and Al-Khor.

The programmes for the Bangladeshi community were held at the Al-Wakrah Indoor Stadium at Wakrah Sports Club on Saturday.

It was reported that more than 2000 people took part in it.

Around 20,000 Nepalese and residents from Al-Khor and Ras Lafan gathered in the Barwa Workers Sports Complex in Al-Khor Industrial Area.

Events were organized for the Indian community at the MES Indian School and more than 4,000 Indians and other Asians took part in them.

Also, over 2,000 Sri Lankans and other Asians gathered at the Stafford Sri Lankan School.

The programmes included musical shows, cultural performances, folklore shows and dances.
