The Qatar Met department has said strong winds are again expected across the country on Tuesday along with poor visibility due to dust, reported Gulf Times.

Strong winds and high seas are also likely in offshore areas on Tuesday, according to the weather report.

The wind speed may reach a high of 38 knots in some inshore at times before decreasing by night. In offshore areas, it may go up to 30 knots.

In a post on social media on Monday, the Met department said fresh to strong northwesterly winds were likely to continue, along with low horizontal visibility of 2km or less due to blowing dust.

Offshore warnings would also continue, with the sea level ranging from 7-10ft before decreasing to 3-5ft by tomorrow evening.

The forecast for inshore areas also says it will be hot during the day, while offshore areas are likely to see slight dust at times.

The windy and dusty conditions are expected to continue until tomorrow evening, the Met department observed.

Meanwhile, a maximum temperature of 41C was recorded on Monday in the Doha airport area, 40C in the Abu Hamour, Qatar University, Wakrah, Messaied and Al Khor areas and 39C in Sheehaniya and other places.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature is expected to be 41C in Doha and 40C in Al Khor, Mesaieed and Wakrah.
