The Spring Bazaar, at the newly renovated Al Bidda Park, to open today
For anyone who has stayed in Doha for at least a few months, the Al Bidda Park is a symbol of the city. The sprawling park, complete with lush gardens and play area for children, is a complete family destination.
The park, which had been closed for a long time for renovation work, had recently reopened. Starting today, it will host its first public programme — the Spring Bazaar — in collaboration with QSports, reported Gulf Times.
The Spring Bazaar will feature over 60 exhibition booths, 15 food court kiosks and a variety of children's games including a 1,000SqM outdoor trampoline park, bike rentals, trackless train and a 15M-high giant inflatable slide, according to Qatar Tribune.
The event will run for seven weeks until May 8, 2018.
The bazaar will offers people a wide variety of products and services such as handicrafts, abayas, jalabiyas, scarves, Arabic perfumes, accessories and other products.
Residents can also enjoy special weekend stage performances and kids’ games with a chance to win prizes.
There will be plenty of surprises with mini-weekend events being planned throughout the next seven weeks.
One such event is the first-ever ‘2K Inflatable Run’ where families can join their children in conquering the “world’s largest inflatable obstacle course.”
More information about the event can be had from www.springbazaar.qa or the event social media handles @springbazaar.qa
The bazaar is open to visitors from 4pm to 10pm from Saturdays to Wednesdays, and from 4pm to 12am on Thursdays and Fridays.
