Six individuals arrested for violating home quarantine requirements

Qatar has been striving to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) among the population.
The country has taken a series of measures to ensure the public remains at the lowest possible risk of contracting the virus.
In this regard, the country made it mandatory for those who recently had contact with a COVID-19 affected individual.
Despite the government's directives, some people have violated these requirements putting public health and safety at risk.
The competent authorities have been actively involved in monitoring and holding accountable all individuals who act against the home quarantine requirements.
The Ministry of Interior (MOI) announced that six more people have been arrested for such violations on April 1, 2020.

The naming and arrest of these individuals, who are all Qatari citizens, reinforces the importance of adhering to the authorities' directives concerning measures implemented for the benefit of all nationals and residents within Qatar during this significant period.
Recently, the Ministry of Interior (MOI) also launched a dedicated hotline for complaints regarding quarantine.
On its official Twitter page, MOI said the hotline 44579999 can be used by citizens and residents "to submit queries and complaints about quarantine (hotels - homes) and to report cases of non-compliance with health and security guidelines for the prevention of COVID-19."
Here's everything you need to know about the virus, including ways to protect yourself.
