Doha The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has decided to ban Shisha smoking on its premises from January 1.
Dr Khaled bin Ibrahim al Sulaiti, General Director of the Katara tweeted about the decision to ban Shisha smoking on its premises.
Katara's management notified all shisha vendors of this decision and will strictly come into effect on new year.
Some of the residents were quite unhappy with this decision.

The harmful effects of smoking shisha are still a topic of debate and doctors here have said it could be 10 times worse than smoking cigarettes.
Some experts also claim that smoking shisha has harmful effects equal to or higher than smoking 20 cigarettes.
Here's a video that was produced a few months ago that might give you an idea why some people in Qatar love smoking shisha a lot.
