SEC probes leaked exam papers

The regulator of schools, Supreme Education Council (SEC), has removed a member of a committee that is tasked with setting question papers for high school examination this year for allegedly trying to leak the paper for a science subject.
The SEC has launched a probe to find out the motive behind the alleged crime, Al Sharq reported yesterday. It said the member was caught before he could leak the paper.
The SEC is democratising and restructuring the consultative committee of Independent Schools. Its job profile is being slightly changed and what is important is that it will elect its chairman instead of the Education Minister being its ex-officio chairman, local Arabic daily Al Raya said. The panel will pick its members in the next academic year that begins in September.
