Ready to meet FC Barcelona stars Pique, Busquets and Alba at the Mall of Qatar?
FC Barcelona and Qatar has enjoyed a long history of sponsorship together. The club has trained and played exhibition matches in Qatar before and now, some of its star players are coming here for a promotional event.
It is understood that the Barcelona star trio of Gerard Piqué, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba Ramos, who were part of the Spanish team which won the 2012 Euro Championship, will meet and greet fans at the Mall of Qatar on Tuesday, July 5, at 3pm.
The Peninsula reported that the event is open for all and likely to be non-ticketed.
The mall management will hold a lucky draw for participants on the occasion, with the winner getting to enjoy an exclusive meeting with the three Barcelona stars.
In a recorded message, the three players shared their excitement about visiting Qatar again.
“I’m very excited to be at the Mall of Qatar on July 5 to meet you all,” said Gerard Piqué, while the other two players recorded their messages in Spanish.
The trio os coming to Qatar for the third time. They were a part of the La Liga giants which took on Al Ahli in a friendly organised by Qatar Airways last December in Doha. Spain also played a friendly against Uruguay at the Khalifa International Stadium in 2013.
