Qatar to launch Ehteraz App in order to identify COVID-19 transmission chain

Her Excellency Lolwah bint Rashid Al-Khater, Spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, announced the latest preventive measures implemented by the State of Qatar to limit the spread of COVID-19 today during a press conference.

It was announced during the press conference that, Qatar will be launching Ehteraz App soon. Ehteraz means “Precaution”.

The App assists in identifying disease transmission chains, alerting contacting individuals and stakeholders to expedite the provision of medical support and prioritizing testing.

The App will be available for both iOS and Android users.

The profile of each user is linked to the QR code by automatically extracting the user’s health information from the official bodies according to these categories: Red, Yellow, Grey, and Green.
