Qatar initiates talks with Turkey and Iran to enhance trade ties
Qatar is looking forward to further enhance trade ties with Iran and Turkey, nations that have stood with the country since the start of the illegal blockade which began on June 5.
Towards this end, Qatar’s Minister of Economy and Commerce HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani held a productive discussion with Iranian Minister of Trade Mohamed Shariatmadari in Tehran yesterday.
Sheikh Ahmed said the Qatari delegation met a group of businessmen and executive heads of Iranian companies to discuss issues of mutual interest, increase bilateral trade exchange and discuss trade opportunities in both countries, according to Qatar Tribune.
The meeting agreed on the need to pay attention to the development and promotion of trade between the two countries and overcome all obstacles that prevent it, while taking advantage of the trade opportunities available in both nations.
A tripartite meeting was also held between Sheikh Ahmed, his Iranian counterpart Shariatmadari and Turkish economy minister Nihad Zeybekci in Tehran.
