Qatar Airways unveils new Economy Class seats, announces seven new destinations
Despite being subjected to an illegal siege by four neighbouring countries, Qatar Airways has continued to expand to newer territories quite aggressively.
Qatar Airways, which has never stopped innovating their products and making travel experience better for its passengers, unveiled their new Economy Class seat and a newly designed Economy Class onboard experience at the ITB Berlin yesterday, reported Gulf Times.

While most airlines tend to focus more on its premium class seats, Qatar’s focus on Economy is expected to benefit more international passengers than ever before. This is because a majority of the world’s passengers travel in Economy class and it remains the largest cabin (by size) on each passenger aircraft.
At the world’s most significant international travel and tourism trade show, Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker also announced seven new additions to its global network, reported The Peninsula.

Qatar Airways is set to launch regular flights to Lisbon (Portugal), Malta, Rabat (Morocco), Langkawi (Malaysia), Davao (Philippines), Izmir (Turkey) and Mogadishu (Somalia).
“We're tremendously excited to add seven new destinations to our rapidly expanding global network later this year, and to be able to connect our passengers to anywhere in the world,” Al Baker was quoted as saying by Qatar Tribune.
A revolutionary new seating system
The revamped Economy seating features a new-generation recline technology that enables a passenger to recline the seat 19 degrees, without intruding on the space of the passenger seated behind.

The seat cleverly moves forward as it reclines (while still retaining space), thus maximising comfort for all passengers.
Each seat is fitted with a large 13.3in 4K flat-screen TV, with brand new Live TV channels — a first for the airline.

Furthermore, the new Economy service ‘Quisine’ includes more food choices tailored for every region, unique tableware, increased portion sizes, and a commitment to significantly reducing single-use plastics.
Qatar Airways will launch the new Economy seat on its Airbus A321neo/LR aircraft, the first of which is due to be delivered later this year.
