Peaceful rally in Palestine embassy today
A peaceful protest will be organized in front of the Palestinian embassy in the Diplomatic area (near West Bay petrol station) after sunset today from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The peace protest is an aftermath of Israel's air strikes on Gaza, which carried on to the seventh successive day.
Al Jazeera reported that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli air campaign surpassed 170 and more than 1,200 people wounded.
According to Doha News, the embassy has confirmed that everyone is welcome to attend the peaceful rally, including women.
However, the embassy is located in a residential area, and it is unclear how many people can be crowded into the event, which may raise security concerns.
Usually, huge organized gatherings need to pre-approved by the government and are overlooked by security forces. In the past, residents have gathered to rally for causes in Egypt, Syria and Libya.
