Take care while driving. Be responsible.
No one know the cause of the accident . The good thing is that there were no children on board
WT: That's great, they should do the same here...1000 qar and a few points on the licence; that'll make at least a few people think twice...
Good knowledge WT ................
Florida, for example, levies a $165 fine for a pass on the left-hand side of a bus, and a $265 fine for a pass on the right-hand side (where students enter and exit the bus). Second and subsequent violations of a left-hand pass violation result in another $165 fine and a minimum 90-day license suspension. A repeated violation of the right-hand pass rule results in another $265 fine, a minimum 180-day license suspension, and a mandatory hearing. While state laws differ slightly, passing a stopped school bus almost always is a violation of traffic law. - I am not sure if such a law exists in Qatar. However, even if ther were a law like this nobody would care.
Perdian: The back of every school bus says "frequent stopping"; we live in a crowded city with roads in constant and varying states of repair... Instead of complaining, I suggest you treat school buses with the same respect and caution as a fire truck or ambulance... Many ambulance drivers are jerks and use their sirens to clear the way for themselves, even when there's no patient inside... And we have no option but to move... So let the driver be a jerk and remember there's children in that bus... Never ever overtake a stopped school bus...
Karwa - or rather the traffic dept. should re-test Karwa Bus drivers, specially thus who are assigned to School Bus service; just last week - this school bus karwa was overtaking like crazy and just suddenly "parks" on the side to pick up students; another one just parks in the middle of the road just to let off students. clearly something is wrong there.
a crash like that takes some doing..oh and.a nissan pickup and a sentra...and they say locals are bad drivers...
"Residents expressed their concerns about the accident and were eager to know the condition of the motorists involved" .. Too many nosy buggers around... Let's hope all are well
