Motorists heave sigh of relief as mobile fuel stations start working
Motorists are heaving a huge sigh of relief as new mobile fuel stations, in different parts of the country, significantly cut down waiting time for refueling.
The shutting down of several major fuel pumps around Qatar, and the lack of new ones opening up, had led to long queues in front of the remaining fuel stations.
Woqod quickly did work to lengthen the fuel hose and open up new stations (temporary and permanent), which led to a reduction in waiting time.
“Since the matter of long queues needed to be addressed fast, ministries and other government bodies responded quickly. Plots for building new fuel stations were allotted. The pace of construction has become much faster now. But it needs time to fully resolve the problem,” Woqod Retail Manager Hejji Ghanim H A Al Rumaihi, was quoted as saying to The Peninsula.
Woqod has created a special department to oversee the setting up of mobile fuel stations as a temporary solution to the problem.
“This year we established temporary facilities at Al Sadd, Rawdat Khail, Al Waki and Al Wakra. A mobile diesel station was also set up at Al Kharara road. More are on the way,” said Al Rumaihi.
We need to appreciate the efforts put in by the staff ............ so happy to see everything going smooth as silk ........ .............
