In accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the state to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs tweeted that all the mosques across Qatar will remain closed from today.

Five obligatory prayers and Friday prayers will be stopped from today noon, until safety is assured to the worshipers to combat COVID-19.

The ministry said “in accordance with the purposes of the supreme law” chief among which is “self-preservation, protection for worshipers and society from harm to the epidemic”.

The call to prayer will continue in all the mosques.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) urges citizens and residents to avoid public places and social gatherings.

As health authorities in the country continue to implement the highest level of monitoring, detection, and management procedures to deal with the virus, the public has been advised to follow certain measures to safeguard their health.

This includes, washing your hands often, using hand sanitizers, and keeping a distance of at least one metre (3 feet) from people who have symptoms of illness.

For any queries, or concerns related to COVID-19 in Qatar, the public can contact a 24/7 hotline set up by the Ministry. The hotline number is 16000 and is toll-free.

The better option to avoid the spreeing of NCV-19, to lock down the state for 3 days and have to quarantine the whole country.

as the virus will no longer after 24hrs as per chines records.

if we will lock and quarantine, so it will be very easy to catch the infected people to cure them.

Main problem is offices where people is mixed and working without any proper care.

The chances are more if offices are working as normal.

thousands of people working in offices while in mosque now a days less people were coming.

Lets hope the best inshaAllah.
