Ministry of Interior lines up varied Eid events for expatriate communities
Expatriate communities in Qatar have reasons to rejoice as the Ministry of Interior is organising a host of events and activities on the occasion of the celebration of Eid Al Adha.
The two-day ‘Communities Eid Al Adha 2016 Celebrations’ will be held at the Al Wakrah Sports Club (first day) and the Asian Town in Industrial Area (second day). The show, which begins at 5am, will go on till 10pm.
For the Indian community, Skills Development Center Music club and ‘Trends Qatar’ will sing songs in multiple languages. A traditional Punjabi ‘Banghra’ dance will be performed.
Bangladeshi musical troupes Otopar, Chironton baul and Srabon will perform for the expatriate community in Qatar.
While a lot of traditional and folklore shows will be on display for Nepalese expatriates, Indonesians living in Qatar will be happy to see three traditional dances — Sajojo, Tortor and Cinta — come to life.
For the Sri Lankans, there will be a lot of songs presented in Sinhalese, Tamil and Hindi.
Well-known Pakistani singers Waheed Achakzahi, Nadiya Gul, Rizwana, and Mariyah Khan will make an appearance on both days.
Are you going?
So much to look forward to .. Joys
