Ministry of Interior announces arrest of a criminal gang targeting bank customers
Qatar’s Ministry of Interior (MoI) has always adopted a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to tackling crime in the country. It is a major reason why Qatar is considered as one of the safest countries in the world.
The MoI added another feather to its cap when they arrested a four-member gang, including a woman, who used to target people returning from banks and exchange houses, according to Gulf Times.
The MoI first spoke about it in a tweet on its official Twitter account.
The #CriminalInvestigationDepartment arrested a gang of 4 African nationals, including a woman, who specialized in robbing bank & exchange customers.
They have been referred to the competent authorities to complete legal proceedings against them. #MOIQatar pic.twitter.com/ZiHHCnahyV
The MoI explained that the thieves used to follow clients of different banks in the country and rob them. A large amount of stolen money was recovered from the suspects and sealed away, according to Qatar Tribune.
The criminals have been referred to competent authorities to complete legal proceedings against them.
These people are obviously NOT Africans but Asians and I don't know why they are not described such!
Good Job
