Ministry of Environment punish violators
The law enforcement team at the Ministry of Environment has detected more than 16 violations threatening the environment of the country.
The violations include carrying hazardous materials without permission, and dumping waste and polluted water in unauthorised places, Al Sharq reports.
The erring drivers and vehicles were seized and handed over to police to take legal action against them.
A ministry patrol also impounded a water tanker for carrying diesel.
The driver was handed over to the security agency to refer them to the public prosecution for further legal action.
The ministry urged the people (citizens and expatriates) to call hotline 998 to report any violations of environment rules.
@ Sense, most of the tanker drivers are free lance, they are the drivers and bosses as well. They own the truck BUT under the sponsorship of local's. It is called SIMPLY SITTING MONTHLY GETTING.
Poor driver..he is just following orders from his boss..so why not the company and managers be responsible in the first place?
