
Ministry destroys more than 10,000 expired products

More than 10,000 products that were seized with expired validity was destroyed yesterday in a special yard in Mesaieed, according to a report from a daily newspaper.
The products were destroyed under the supervision of senior officials from the Consumer Protection Department (CPD) of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, The Peninsula reported.
The products, mostly beauty items, including creams, lotions and shampoos, were seized by inspectors from outlets across the country.
The Consumer Protection Department has been very active with their campaigns this year to take action against outlets that sell expired products.
