Manager accused of stealing secretary's car and home keys

A company manager is accused of stealing the keys of his secretary’s home and renting it out to workers while she was out of Qatar on long leave.
From her apartment, the man is also alleged to have stolen the keys of her car and severely damaged it in an accident.
It seems that before the car met with the mishap and was damaged, the manager drove it so irresponsibly that a lot of fines accrued for several traffic violations. A colleague called up the secretary and informed her about the accident.
The woman cut short her stay abroad and took the first flight available and returned to Doha.
When she reached home from the airport she was shocked to find that some workers were staying her apartment. It was given to them on rent.
The woman realised that she had made a mistake by leaving duplicate keys of her home in her a drawer in her office.
She had given her drawer’s keys to the manager before leaving Qatar.
When she confronted the manager, he told her that he would get the car repaired and denied that he had rented out her flat to some workers.
He instead claimed that he had sent those workers to her house for cleaning.
The manager took the car to a garage and got some cosmetic repairs done.
The engine was damaged but left unrepaired.
This infuriated the woman and she approached police and filed a complaint. The matter is being referred to court, Al Sharq reported yesterday.
