Mall of Asia destroyed completely in blaze
A shopping centre built about two years ago on Street No. 16 of the Industrial Area was destroyed in a fire that broke out in the early hours yesterday. There were no reports of any injuries.
The complex, named Mall of Asia, started operations early in 2013 and had housed a hypermarket and some other establishments.
The blaze was put out several hours later even though smoke continued to emanate from the area even in the afternoon. Though no reason is attributed to the fire, there are conflicting reports from the residents of the area.
As a cautionary measure, some of the establishments functioning in the adjacent complex were ordered to close by Civil Defence authorities, who are investigating the reasons of the fire.

Just a couple of months back another supermarket Fathima in Muaither area caught fire and was completely destroyed. It has still not reopened. Luckily, there was no loss of life in that incident also.
Thank God , no one is injured. But how it happened. as far as I know . ever since the tragic fire accident happened in Villaggio Mall, the civil defence put stringent requirements for building and establishments. so in this case I personally doubt the fire was deliberately made ??? to claim the insurance?? other wise how the entire building was on fire??? we have to wait for the civil defence's
investigation...
Summers here & Fire has always been in close tie since several years.
