Katara Hospitality on the way to become a top global organization

2016 was a good year for Katara Hospitality, the Qatar-based leading hotel owner, operator and developer. Not only did it receive the Arabian Business Qatar Awards “Hospitality Company of The Year” award, it also became the annual World Travel Awards prestigious “World’s Leading Hospitality Company” award for the fourth consecutive year and the “Remarkable and Exceptional Achievement in the Luxury Hospitality Industry” award for the second consecutive year by Seven Star Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards.
It excelled in all of its operations in 2016. Its 2016 achievements include the rebranding and refurbishment of the Sealine Beach, a Murwab Resort in Qatar, the opening of the Avenue and the Simaisma Resort in Qatar, the Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne, a Murwab hotel in Switzerland and the Hotel Park, which is a family park near the Sheraton Hotel. It also established Katara Specialties, a contemporary food and beverage initiative within all of its local and international hotels and partnered with Marriott International to promote hospitality education in the country.
Katara Hospitality is also well-known for its efforts in preserving the heritage of one-of-a-kind hotels no matter where they are, and will restore the infamous Raffles Hotel in Singapore.
