Hundreds of Qatar residents have been paying extremely high prices for the new iPhone 6 range, even though it officially goes on sale in the country on Saturday.

Prices here on Qatar Living are listed as high as QR6,500 and QR7,000 for the Gold colour handsets, while the official local price is a maximum of QR3,999.

Mohammed Ahmed Abdullah, the general director of cell phone shop World Communication in Al Sadd, told Doha News that he sold his first shipment of 120 iPhone 6 devices within hours of opening sales on Friday.

Abdullah said he initially sold the most expensive model, the 128-gigabyte iPhone 6 Plus, for QR9,900. After receiving additional shipments later in the week, he dropped prices to QR4,300.

Ooredoo and Vodafone won’t start shipping the devices to customers in Qatar until September 27, the local website reported.

Locally, the base 16-gigabyte iPhone 6 retails for QR2,799, while the top-end 128-gigabyte iPhone 6 Plus will go for QR3,999.

Here are the prices that Ooredoo was offering them at:

Oh this was best blog post I read all year perhaps?! Really?

Because made me laugh at Isheep aka the typical Apple Hipsters or fans or consumers...

The Samsung Note 4 has:

Better Camera front and Rear.

More PPI at 515 Screen.

etc...

I'm not trying to covert people on the Samsung Note 4 and I own an Iphone 4 and Samsung Note 3 FYI. But why spend a huge amount of money on 2012 tech? Because that is what the Iphone 6 is. Samsung had that tech spec in 2012 and the NFC payments.

I guess it's a status thing "Look at me I have a Iphone wow". Too much money and no research yes seems about right to me.

"Y you not about ლ(ಠ益ಠლ Samsung Note 4?
