HH the Amir, Kuwaiti Amir discuss efforts to combat COVID-19

Qatar and Kuwait have always held each other in high regard. The brotherly relations between the two countries have been further cemented by Kuwait's unwavering support to Qatar ever since the Gulf crisis erupted.

The two countries have pledged bilateral support and cooperation in several areas including political, economic, trade, investment, military and security cooperation, human rights, and others. 

In January this year, Qatar announced that it has entered into a 15-year agreement with Kuwait to supply the country with 3 million tonnes of LNG annually.

Also, last year, upon the directives of HH the Amir, Qatar officially launched the Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor project, in appreciation of the Kuwaiti Amir, reflecting the strength of the relationship between the two nations.

The leaders of both nations have regularly held talks on issues of mutual concern and ways to strengthen the Qatari-Kuwaiti ties.

To discuss the solid fraternal relations between the two countries as well as efforts to fight the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a telephonic conversation with HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah yesterday.

HH the Amir held via telephone a conversation with Amir of Kuwait, during which they reviewed solid fraternal relations and ways of enhancing them.
