As part of the fourth phase of the C-Ring Road project works, the Public Works Authority announces the closure of part of Al Kinana Street and part of Qatari Bin Al Fujaah Street branching from C-Ring Road at Al Kinana signal.

The closure will extend for about 350 meters on each of these two streets in both directions, and the purpose of the closure is widening Qatari Bin Al Fujaah and Al Kinana streets by adding additional lanes to them as per the attached map.

The closure starts on Friday 14th of November and lasts for two weeks, while the entire C-Ring Road development project in its four phases will be completed in the second quarter of 2015.

Access to shops on both streets will remain available, and cars will be able to reach the car wash and car repair shops on Qatari Bin Al Fujaah Street through designated accesses through Qatari Bin Al Fujaah Street, whereas cars can park in the back of the shops on Al Kinana Street and reach these shops by walking.

Occupants of residential buildings affected by the closure will need to park cars in the backstreets in the area during the closure, Ashghal said.

Meanwhile, Ashghal has realigned access to and from Celebration Road from Dukhan Highway. The diversion will be in place for about 12 months with 80kph speed limit.

It is part of ongoing work on Dukhan Highway – Central and to complete works on the new interchange near Al Rayyan Club on Dukhan Road (known as Rawdat Rashed Interchange).

I'll avoid this road the next month then. Two weeks ha ha ha really? A Japanese road crew who are efficient and stick to time limits would get done in a week tops or worst cast 1.5 Weeks.
