Friday prayer will be held in all the mosques across Qatar

Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs tweeted that Friday prayers will be held in all the mosques across Qatar.

The ministry has urged the public to go to the mosque which is a short distance away from their residence.

In accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the state to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the ministry urged all the mosques in the country to close within fifteen minutes after Friday prayer. In addition to that, the waiting time after the call to prayer should be lessen to five minutes.

It is very important that the mosques are well ventilated during the prayer.

The ministry advised people with symptoms including coughing and runny nose to avoid going to the mosque to safeguard the health and wellbeing of others.

As health authorities in the country continue to implement the highest level of monitoring, detection, and management procedures to deal with the virus, the public has been advised to follow certain measures to safeguard their health.

This includes, washing your hands often, using hand sanitizers, and keeping a distance of at least one metre (3 feet) from people who have symptoms of illness.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) advises citizens and residents to use sleeve to cover the nose and mouth while coughing and sneezing in public or to use tissue paper and dispose it appropriately.
