First Turkish hospital in Qatar to begin functioning soon
A state-of-the-art Turkish Hospital, with advanced facilities and emergency services, is set to open in the country soon.
The Turkish Hospital, which will have around 100 beds and five operation theatres, is expected to be a vital addition to Qatar’s existing medical infrastructure, reported Qatar Tribune.
It is the hospital’s first foray outside Turkey and will be serviced by Turkish doctors.
“The idea of starting a Turkish Hospital in Qatar was conceived around two years ago and has quickly become a reality with the active support from the Qatari medical authorities and the Qatari partners Taleb Group,” the hospital’s Managing Partner-CEO Dr Volkan Uygunucarlar told Qatar Tribune.
He said the idea of starting the hospital was not merely based on commercial considerations, but also on humanitarian aspects.
Qatar has a sizeable Turkish community living here and the hospital is expected to benefit them as well.
