Emiri Diwan announces Eid Al Fitr holiday dates for ministries, public companies
People working in ministries, government institutions and other public entities will get nine days of holidays for Eid Al Fitr this year, the Emiri Diwann announced yesterday.
The Emiri Diwan has decalred that the holidays will officially start on Sunday, June 25 and end on Monday, July 3, with employees resuming work duties a day later, reported Gulf Times.
Meanwhile, the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) governor will decide the start and end dates of Eid holidays for QCB, banks, financial institutions under QCB’s jurisdiction, and Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).
Earlier, citing astronomical calculations, Qatar Calendar House had said that the holy month of Ramadan will be for 29 days this year and will end on June 24.
This is for government staff, for private staff still 2 to 3 working days.
So kind of you, so nice of you , a very big thanks from all of the residents & their dependents.
Historically, Qatar Central Bank has always been the last government entity to declare Eid holiday dates.
I wonder why.
