
Several parks to open for sporting activities on June 15 subject to strict rules

As Qatar gears up to begin easing restrictions under a four-phased plan, several parks will be open on June 15 under strict rules to ensure the safety of all.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) announced procedures and conditions for entering a limited number of public parks that will be open to exercise and sporting activities.
Parks that will be opened in the first stage are as follows:
- Al Wakra Public Park
- Al Khor Park
- Al Qutaifiyah Park 66
- Al Shamal City Park
- Al Sailiya Park (Abu Nakhla)
- Al Dafna Park
- Museum Park
- Al Rayyan Park
- Hotel Park
- Aspire Park
- Katara Hills
Parks will be open from 4:00 am to 9:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily.
MME urged people wishing to enter these parks to follow the preventive and precautionary measures put in place including:
- Showing the 'Green' health code on the Ehteraz App
- Body temperature assessment at the entrance
- Following the guidelines of security personnel at the parks and co-operating with them
- Keeping a safe physical distance
- Visitors are not allowed to sit in the parks
- Safely disposing of discarded items at the trash cans
- Maintaining personal and public hygiene standards within and outside the parks

Additionally, shops at malls across the country will be partially opened on June 15 under strict rules to ensure the safety of all. The shops will also remain closed on Fridays and Saturdays,. Only stores with a minimum area of 300 square meters will be opened during Phase 1. The number of shoppers inside a complex will be restricted to 30 percent of its capacity.
