Do you want to quit smoking? If yes, head over to one of these six clinics in Qatar!
It is still unknown who said the famous quote “A cigarette is nothing but a pipe with a fire at one end and a fool at the other.”
While its speaker may yet be unknown, what has been undeniably proven is that smoking cigarettes does nothing but harm to your body.
So if you’re somebody who is a chain smoker, but desperately wants to quit, then help is at hand.
You can visit at least six smoking cessation clinics, run by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), around the country. They are at Leabaib, Al Daayen, Al Gharafa, Omar Bin Khattab, Abu Bakr Al Sidiq, Mesaimeer (Abu Hamour) and Rawdat Al Khail health centres, according to Qatar Tribune.
“These clinics provide a stimulating programme for those looking to quit smoking for good. I urge all such people to make the most of the facilities available there,” said PHCC’s Health Promotion and Recovery Director Dr Wadha Al Baker.
Meanwhile, the Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Smoking Cessation Clinic has called for using the opportunity of Holy Month of Ramadan to quit smoking habit and to focus on living a healthier lifestyle, reported The Peninsula.
Every year during Ramadan, HMC’s Smoking Cessation Clinic receives hundreds of new patients seeking help to quit their habit of tobacco use.
