The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters golf tournament commences today in Doha

Commercial Bank Qatar has launched the Qatar Masters golf tournament for the 14th consecutive year today. This event is one of the most important tournaments in Qatar, and through this, Commercial Bank aims to emphasise Qatar's National Vision of being a world-class venue for promoting and developing sports to position the country as a leader in the sports field.

Commercial Bank Qatar Masters is hosted in collaboration with the European Tour, which is one of the most prominent professional golf tournaments in the world; you can therefore expect to witness a high-level competition between the elite of international golf players.

Its success is not only measured by supporting this tournament, but also by raising awareness amongst the local community about the importance of practicing sports in everyday life, following a healthy lifestyle, and highlighting the values of friendship.

Commercial Bank also aim to showcase to the world the various opportunities available in Qatar as a world-class destination for international tournaments. There were several efforts that contributed to this success which include the private sector’s efforts in supporting this event, as well as companies and private institutions that sponsored this tournament that will contribute to the economic development.

The tournament is expected to welcome over 20,000 golf enthusiasts, local and international media, and over 400 million viewers worldwide.

Commercial Bank collaborated with Qatar Golf Club, Qatar Golf Association, Qatar Olympic Committee, and the European Tour to organise this important event.

The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters takes place at Doha Golf Club from today, March 7th, till Sunday, March 10th. Entry for spectators is free of charge.
