The official website of the ministry reveals that some restaurants had been storing food in disgusting conditions, while others have been serving expired food.

The ministry recently released some images taken from a branch of the well-known Afghan Brothers Restaurant located in Wakrah.

The tweet said that the restaurant has been closed down for a month for "using food stuff unfit for human consumption"

Furthermore, according to Doha News, the restaurants that have been following unhygienic conditions and ordered to be shut down for a month are- Afghan Brothers and Al-Hara Al-Shamiya Sweets in Al-Wakrah, Diwan Al Jazeera restaurant in Muaither, Colorado Restaurant on Khalifa Street in central Doha, Al Tanoor Cafeteria and Abdulla Zaid Cafeteria in the Industrial Area.

Week long closures have been laid upon The Sizzlers in Al Khor, Al Zakira Modern Chicken in Al Khor and House of Tea Restaurant.

Also, Lewan Shamal restaurant in Ruwais was closed down for 15 days for serving rice with a bug in it.
