Ashghal to open two permanent lanes on Maesaieed 1 Road

Ashghal will open two permanent lanes of 2.5km on Mesaieed 1 Road, which is the link road between Hamad Port and the Temporary Truck Route (TTR).

The permanent lanes are in the direction from TTR to Hamad Port and they will replace the two existing temporary lanes starting from Monday (May 2).

Traffic on the two lanes in the opposite direction will be diverted to one temporary lane for a period of 14 days between May 2 and May 16.

The exact location of the traffic change is approximately 500M to the west of the new roundabout that connects Mesaieed Road, the New Hamad Port and the entrance to Mesaieed Industrial city.

The traffic diversion on part of Mesaieed 1 Road is required to facilitate the construction of the New Orbital Highway (Orbital).

The Orbital forms a fundamental part of Ashghal's Expressway Programme to construct an international standard highway network that will significantly transform road travel within Qatar.
