All sports activities to be held outdoors on National Sports Day 2021

The Ministry of Culture and Sports has released a statement highlighting that the guidelines for activities related to NSD have been amended based on public health indicators to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Ministry had earlier issued a healthcare protocol on January 26, which has now been modified in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
To ensure the safety of all, sporting activities will be individual and in outdoor spaces only.
The number of players must not exceed four in one group and they should all adhere to the required safe distance of three meters while taking part in the activity.
The Ministry has prohibited holding sports events inside closed spaces.

Group activities, such as matches involving contact between players, that make it difficult to maintain the recommended safe distance are not allowed.
The NSD Committee has urged relevant authorities in Qatar to avoid holding any events or activities that may lead to crowding.
The public is requested to follow the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by MoPH to keep themselves and others around them safe.
