85,000 people book for return to Qatar this month

As many as 85,000 people have booked for quarantine at 60 hotels and Meakines locations in Qatar this month, according to a press statement.
Discover Qatar has been working tirelessly to assist those returning to Qatar to quarantine safely. It has also made efforts to expand the capacity to accommodate a greater number of people.
As such, the monthly number of those returning in March is more than double that of people who quarantined in November last year. This has been possible because of the increase in quarantine facilities in Qatar.
The statement added that while capacity is being expanded continually, returning individuals are urged to book early to secure the property and budget of their choice.
"The ongoing commitment to allow more than 385,000 people so far to return safely to Qatar, while protecting public health, has seen a determined effort by many stakeholders to deliver a world-class quarantine program that has been in operation for eight months," the statement underlined.

“The stringent hotel quarantine requirements continue to protect Qatar and its residents while relieving the burden on medical staff and facilities by safeguarding against any COVID-19 outbreaks,” the statement adds.
This type of quarantine without having to close borders has also significantly supported the economy by letting daily life continue amid carefully thought-out precautions.
The welcome home packages under Discover Qatar start as low as QR2,300, offering economical options to people returning to Qatar.
The packages include three meals per day on a full board basis, a PCR test and one-way transfers from Hamad International Airport upon arrival.
Guests have the option to select from more than 60 hotels that fit in with their budget across three-, four- and five-star properties while two- and three-bedroom villas are available for larger families.
In comparison to other countries where there is no hotel choice or the pricing is fixed, Qatar's quarantine model is much more favorable, the statement highlighted.
