Qatar Charity‘s (QC) Ramadan 2014 campaign ‘Noor ul Ataa’ is set to benefit 1.75mn people inside and outside Qatar at a total cost of QR43.6mn, representing a QR8.6mn increase on last year’s campaign.

This year QR16mn has been allocated for projects inside Qatar, an increase of QR4mn from last year.  An extra QR3mn has been spent on external projects, taking this year’s expense to QR27mn, compared to QR24mn last year.

If the number of beneficiaries stood at 1.35mn last year, there is an increase of around 50,000 people this year, when the campaign focuses on the Syrian people.

There is a special programme for displaced and refugee Syrians, which will involve the distribution of food aid during the holy month, including Iftar and Eid clothing projects.

The campaign encourages philanthropists to donate to QC development and relief projects in and outside Qatar, including relief for the Syrian people, sponsorship of orphans and needy families, educational, income-generating projects, water and food projects and combating poverty.

This season’s projects have witnessed development in terms of quality and quantity with an expansion in the framework of projects and programmes within Qatar.

firstly, DECIDING who is a true muslim is in the hands of GOD almighty alone; secondly no one can convert anyone, it is Allah alone who guides the job of the muslims is to only convey the message entrusted to them; fear of conversion stems from insecurities of the individual's faith. Workers in every nook and corner of the world are suffering misery and exploitation. The month of ramadhan is the month of endless charity and reaching out to the less privileged May Allah grant us the ability to partake in this good deed and grant us goodly acceptance from Him

Its pretty sad when a charity has to provide workers with food. You cannot come to Qatar without a job or a sponsor yet some people don't get enought to eat. Quite disgraceful.
