The Ministry of Public (MoPH) has issued an update to the travel and return policy for individuals traveling from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, and Sri Lanka, taking effect from August 2, 2021.

MoPH had made this announcement via their Twitter account, highlighting updates to the list of classification of countries and the travel procedures for individuals coming for the aforementioned six countries.

Considering the traveler has been vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 in the State of Qatar, the Ministry explained that anyone traveling from these six countries will be required to undergo hotel quarantine for a period of two days.

Moreover, the quarantine period will end after obtaining a negative PCR test result on the second day of quarantine.

On the other hand, all other travelers coming from these countries are subject to hotel quarantine for a period of 10 days.

Parents travelling from Mumbai to Doha with unvaccinated children aged 8 yrs and 14 yrs should book hotel for 2 days or 10 days ? All are resident permit holders and parents are vaccinated in Qatar.

I called MOI helpline and they advised for 2 days.

Has anyone travelled with unvaccinated children above 12 years?

Need some clarity about the rule..

Why you all say, its must to quarantine for visitors for 10 days if they have got 2 doses of vaccinations outside qatar?

Qatar moph new update says

Those who have been vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 in the State of Qatar are subject to a two-day hotel quarantine and are allowed to leave the hotel on the second day if the result of the PCR test is negative.

Which means as i understand it says those "who are vaccinated" or "those who got covid inside qatar and recovered in qatar" ( it doesn't say those who are vaccinated inside qatar)

Because the vaccines doesn't change country to country , if you take pfizer inside qatar or india or anywhere, its still the same vaccination, there no even a drop of change. So why would qatar government allow only the people who took vaccination inside qatar ?(even in the full moph travel document they only talk about vaccination approved by qatar, not vaccinated inside qatat)

But for the people who got covid inside qatar and recovered in qatar , has a meaning because the qatar system of tracking and medication is far more better than in any of these countries, for an example if someone got covid and treated or just self quarantined, qatar government has all the details..but in our countries if someone gets covid or and if they self quarantined there is no any valid tracking or proofs to show...

So thats why they only allow 2 days quarantine for people who got covid only inside qatar, but for the vaccination i think it will be okay if you take it anywhere with valid proof.. please check and confirm..

And also in there travel policy (full document) when they talk about vaccinated people they doesn't say it must in qatar, they only say approved vaccines by qatar....

But when they talk about covid recovery patients they mention it inside qatar (and some gcc countries)

Please correct me if i wrong...

@Ainz you are not eligible for 2 days Quarantine

2 days Quarantine option only for those who took vaccine in Qatar or recovered from Covid 19 in Qatar

rest all are subjected for 10 days Quarantine

So if you are traveling from India, Pakistan on visit, vaccination does not make any difference as you must quarantine for 10 days unless you are resident with vaccination in Qatar

No.

Two days quarantine is applicable only if you took both shots of the vaccine in Qatar or recovered from Covid while you are in Qatar (using Ehteraz they will verify, I think.)

Vaccinated outside Qatar will not be considered, (whatever vaccine you took) so 10days Quarantine is MUST.

So if we're traveling from INDIA and are fully vaccinated in India with covishield (approved vaccine), then 2 day quarantine until test result for Covid-19 comes. If tested negative for covid-19, no quarantine. So we don't need to book 10 day quarantine hotel right?
