Drivers license renewal upon expiry for more than 6 months

I have a Qatar driving licence which is expired in June 2020, as i am outside qatar and employed in Kuwait. I will be transferring to Qatar within couple of months open visa process opening.

Is it possible to renew my existing drivers license upon receiving new QID as it is expired for more than 6 months please advise. Is there any procedure please recommend.
