Movies playing at a theatre near you, beginning March 24!

Perhaps in anticipation of the huge business ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ is expected to do, the variety of movies releasing in Qatar this week is low.

The superhero movie from DC Comics stable, releasing in both 3D and 2D formats, is expected to do some roaring business. Two Hollywood horror/thriller movies as well as a Bollywood actioner are the other films on offer.

1. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Following the events after Man of Steel, Gotham City-based vigilante Batman travels to Metropolis to preemptively combat Superman, fearing what would happen if the latter is kept unchecked, while another threat endangers humankind. This is the first film featuring the two iconic characters together.

2. The Invitation

In this psychological thriller, the tension builds when Will shows up to at his ex-wife Eden and new husband David’s dinner party. Amid Eden’s suspicious behavior and her mysterious houseguests, Will becomes convinced his invitation had a hidden agenda. The drama and horror unfolds over one dark evening in the Hollywood Hills.

3. Every Secret Thing

Based on a novel, this is a gripping thriller about consequences of the secrets we keep. Detective Nancy Porter is still haunted by her failure to save the life of a missing child from the hands of two young girls. Eight years later, another child goes missing in the same town just days after Ronnie and Alice, the two girls convicted of the former crime, are released from juvenile detention. Porter must race against the clock to prevent history from repeating itself.

4. Rocky Handsome

The Indian action thriller film is a loose adaptation of the Korean film The Man From Nowhere. Its story revolves around a man who sets out to take vengeance against a drug mafia after they take away an eight-year-old girl, with whom he shares a special bond.
