Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani passes away
Versatile Malayalam film actor Kalabhavan Mani passed away at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences hospital in Cochin on Sunday.
Dr Sanjeev Singh, senior medical administrator, told The Hindu that the actor was admitted on Saturday night with bleeding haematemesis (vomiting of blood). The death occurred due to liver and kidney ailments, he said.
The 45-year-old actor, who has been to Qatar on several occasions, was popular both for his versatile acting as well as incredible folk singing talent.
Born in Chalakudy near Thrissur, Mani began his artistic career as a mimicry artiste. He then made a mark in Malayalam cinema as a comedian and also did villain roles in Tamil and Telugu movies.
He is survived by wife Nimmy and daughter Sree Lakshmy.
Rest in Peace, Mani. You will be badly missed!
