1. The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials

This is the sequel to the wildly successful Maze Runner, which in itself was an adaptation of a successful ‘young adults’ novel by the same name. After escaping the Maze, a group of kids, known as the Gladers, now face a new set of challenges across a desolated landscape, filled with unimaginable obstacles.
2. Everest
Genre: Thriller
Director: Baltasar Kormakur
Cast: Jason Clarke, Ang Phula Sherpa, Thomas M. Wright
This is a mountain-sized entertainment tent-pole based on a true story. A climbing expedition, on their way up the world’s biggest mountain, the Mount Everest, gets trapped in a severe snowstorm. They must use every trick in the book to live to tell the tale.
3. Black Mass
Genre: Biography/Drama
Director: Scott Cooper
Cast: Johny Depp, Benedict Cumberbatch
This is based on a true story and this is Johny Depp at his acting best. The film revolves around Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator who was also infamous as a violent criminal. He turns an FBI informant in order to bring down a Mafia family invading his turf. It’s an intense watch.
4. American Ultra
Genre: Action/Comedy
Director: Nima Nourizadeh
Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Connie Britton
This comedy action movie revolves around a stoner, who is a secret government agent who doesn’t remember his past. But when the government sends a team to kill him off, his training and survival instincts kick in. He becomes unstoppable.
4. Absolutely Anything
Genre: Comedy/Sci-fi
Director: Terry Jones
Cast: Kate Beckinsale, Robin Williams, Simon Pegg
A few mad aliens decide to conduct an experiment on a man and give him the power to do absolutely anything. He takes time to adjust to his new powers and comedy ensues. This was one of the last films eternal comedian Robin Williams lent his voice to.
5. Katti Batti
Genre: Romance/Bollywood
Director: Nikhil Advani
Cast: Imran Khan, Kangana Renaut
This is a cute, romantic comedy that follows the lives of Maddy and Payal, who has a live-in relationship. Everything is hale and hearty until an unexpected event happens, which turn everything on its head.
6.Utopiyayile Rajavu
Genre: Drama
Director: Kamal
Cast: Mammooty, Jewel Mary, Joy Mathew
The actor and director are joining hands after nine years and expectations are high on this movie. It deals with the story of sculptor and social figure CS Swathanthran, played by Mammootty, in a fictional village called Kokranghara. The film tries to show the political scenario in Kerala humorously.
