IBQ and W Doha bring joy to Rumailah Hospital patients for the 6th year
Doha, 26 June 2016: International Bank of Qatar (ibq) and W Doha Hotel and Residences are joining hands again for the 6th consecutive year to bring joy to Rumailah Hospital patients. The initiative plays a vital role in the support of the Qatari community’s most vulnerable, and aims to improve the lives of children and elderly people.
The partnership saw the elderly at Rumailah Hospital in the Trauma Unit receive Iftar and a visit to the Al Maha Unit in Pediatrics at Rumailah Hospital, to celebrate Ramadan and distribute gifts and treats in celebration of Garangaoo.
“We are extremely honored to support the Qatari community during the holy month of Ramadan and are delighted of this collaboration with W Doha Hotel and Residences for the 6th consecutive year. Everyday our lives are built on what we share with others, we have shared incredible moments and smiles with the patients, nurses and caretakers at Rumailah Hospital. We look forward to many more successful events in the coming years”, said Omar Bouhadiba, Managing Director at ibq.
Safak Guvenc, Area Manager Qatar & Oman/General Manager, W Doha Hotel and Residences, said: “Our successful collaboration with ibq has started six years back and we believe that together we can bring great happiness and support to people living in Qatar. It is always a privilege to support the local community and be part of as many philanthropic activities as we can. On behalf of our team at W Doha, I would like to wish everyone a blessed Ramadan.”
ibq’s “do good deeds” campaign was launched in 2009 with a series of events in which staff members volunteer for charitable purposes. Various initiatives are planned to reach out to people from all walks of the community.
