Summer in Qatar camps to delight young ones

A series of summer camps offering entertainment and education in the form of sports, culture, and art are ready to take off this season as part of Summer in Qatar.
The camps include exciting activities for children and youth, offered by Qatar National Tourism Council’s (QNTC) partners in the public and private sectors.
Sport & Active Camps:
A range of camps is offering sports and other activities to keep children moving this summer.
QNTC, the Ministry of Interior’s Police Sports Federation, and Qatar Foundation will offer a Summer Camp at Education City from June 30 to July 25 where boys and girls between 8-12 years can enjoy various indoor sports and field trips to theme parks.
Aspire Summer Camp will run from July 7 to 13 for kids aged between 6-13 years old, allowing them to experience world-class sports facilities first-hand.
Tomorrow’s Officers offers Qatari nationals aged 8-12 years the opportunity to take advantage of police summer training provided by Qatar’s Police College between June 29 to August 8. Children can register via phone on 55227000 or 77858877.
Parents can ensure their children’s football talent is nurtured at the Paris Saint-Germain Academy’s five-day summer camp in West Bay, Al Waab, and Al Wakrah from June 30 to August 8 for boys and girls aged 5- 16.
Budding basketball players can learn from a pro, with L.A. Laker Lonzo Ball at a Basketball Camp at HBKU from July 18 - 20 for those aged 6-17 years.
Health is wealth this summer, with a Diabetes Prevention Camp at Qatar Diabetes Association from the end of July until August 3. Those more interested in an a la carte menu of activities can enroll in the Education City Summer Membership Program, which provides access to their various recreation facilities.
Community, Culture & Learning Camps:
Children and adults alike can also exercise their minds at several camps offering hands-on learning opportunities this Summer in Qatar.
Fusion Camps will take place at different locations throughout summer, offering an array of activities in science, sport, and exploration.
Community Summer Camp will run at Recreation Centre, Education City from June 16 to August 8.
Secondary school students can get an early start on preparing for their careers with Qatar Career Development Center(QCDC) camp at Multaqa (HBKU students center) from June 30 - July 11.
Qatar Petroleum will also offer a 5-day summer camp from July 7 to August 8, where school students can gain a better understanding of energy and sustainability.
Mukhayamna Summer Camps in collaboration with Geek Express, BK Sports & Molecular Science, running at Awsaj Academy from June 23 to July 18, Qatar Academy in Al Wakra and Al Khor from July 7 to 18.
For more artistic endeavors, Qatar Museum offers calligraphy workshops, a treasure hunt and Saturday coloring at the Museum of Islamic Art throughout summer, as well as art lessons and an Educational Summer Camp at Mathaf in July to August.
